Made in Ghana from wawa (teak), the Gyil is a member of the mallet keyboard (xylophone) family. Fully hand carved, it is comprised of wooden slats suspended on a frame over 3 calabash gourds. The stick, or mallet, used to strike the slats is wrapped in rubber and produces a pleasant sound
